Fire Emblem

The Fire Emblem franchise is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. The series began on the Famicom in 1990 and has subsequently spawned sixteen core entries and four spin-offs. As of January 2019, it is the most popular franchise ever and has accumulated more than 30 million sales worldwide. Fire Emblem's story is rich in mythology and the characters portray a wide range of personalities and situations.

The game's combat is based on a system that makes resource management easy to grasp, and it only improves on this concept as the campaign progresses. The basic concept is that ranged units beat knights, while heavily armored characters cannot handle a hammering. The mages, on the other hand, are good at both close combat and ranged combat, and they have surprising depth. As such, they make great teammates and enemies.
