In Sega Chess for Sega Master, move pieces using directional buttons then press A to select and position them. Press Start to confirm moves. Capture opponents pieces by moving yours to their squares. Pawns move forward, capture diagonally. Knights Lshaped movement, bishops diagonally, rooks vertically or horizontally, queens both ways, kings in all directions. Castle by moving king 2 squares and rook, not past occupied squares or king in check. Win by checkmating opponents king.
