Rare created Viva Piata: Pocket Paradise, a life simulation game for the Nintendo DS based on the Viva Piata franchise.
Unlike Viva Piata: Party Animals and the PC version of the original game, which were developed by separate third-party developers, this was developed by the handheld team of Rare. Sadly, this was the last game that Rare ever made for the Nintendo system.
As in its predecessor, the goal of Viva Piata: Pocket Paradise is to turn a neglected strip of land into a lovely garden. The majority of the characteristics and the entire piata are carried over from the original. Rare's handheld team took advantage of the opportunity to make further adjustments and additions while the game was being constructed from the ground up for the DS.
